Davit (David) Dadikyan

The Armenian Armwrestler Is Reserved, Humble, And Talks With His Arms

Davit (David) Dadikyan has immense arm strength and has become a bit controversial in the sport due to his ability to draw out matches to the absolute limit—even if he won’t win. While some might not like his style, his raw arm strength is nothing to balk at in armwrestling.

David Dadikyan Technique And Style

Like most professional armwrestlers, he does have a solid hooking and toproll technique. However, due to Dadikyan’s immense arm size and raw strength, he utilizes a lightning-fast toproll technique at the beginning of matches to pin armwrestling opponents. He has gotten a bit of heat from the armwrestling community for taking too much time in between matches to rest his arms. Spending extra time to chalk up your hands and gain a few more seconds of rest is a unique strategy to prepare yourself for another round.

Because it is hard for him to frequently meet up with sparring partners, David Dadikyan is a big fan of compound pulling movements with raw iron in the gym.

David Dadikyan: A Quick Bio

The 26-year-old Armenian armwrestler was competing in judo until 2015. In 2015, he used his insane pulling strength, grip strength, and work ethic to armwrestling. He is already quite accomplished in the European armwrestling circuit. He actually competed in and won the Armenian Armwrestling Championship, and subsequently won, with very little preparation. This showcased his talent and his true calling: armwrestling.

David Dadikyan won the European Championship five times and the World six times. He is now done with judo and is a full-time, devoted professional armwrestler.
