There Is One Trick That Will Help You Win 99% Of All Armwrestling Matches

Don’t Worry I am Not Going To Keep You Waiting…

If you want to show up at a dive bar and win every armwrestling match singlehandedly, pull.

Don’t rotate; pull. The non-scientific way of saying this is that it puts you in an advantageous position. The science behind it lies behind the physics.

Why You Need To Pull To Win Almost All Armwrestling Matches

When you’re armwrestling a casual at a dive bar, place of employment, or school, 99% of the time, they don’t know a thing about armwrestling, its movements, or that it is a sport that requires technique and training. Most people try to use a pressing and/or rotational movement with their shoulders (rotator cuff). Not only is this position dangerous, it is weak. Your shoulder and pectoral muscles are no match for a bicep and back (latissimus dorsi) movement. With the right back pressure, your arm acts as a titanium anchor, pulling your opponent’s arm straight into the table.

So, why does pulling work so well? For starters, the movements don’t counteract each other. If your opponent is rotating and you are pulling, there is little resistance. Then, if you are able to extend your arm across the table, the amount of force they need to pull you and pin you back starts to increase exponentially.

The Way You Need To Think About Armwrestling To Win

Think of your hands as ropes and your backs and forearms as individuals.

You are engaged in a scaled-down version of a tug-of-war match.

The best armwrestlers in the world have massive backs and biceps from pulling. They are performing the most insane one-arm pullup every time they begin a match.

If you want to win every match, you need to start by pulling — and quickly. When you start with that initial movement, and combine it with speed, you will take any uninitiated individual by complete surprise. However, don’t expect to win that way against anyone who knows how to armwrestle!
