Eddie Stephen Hall, born January 15, 1988, is one of the most well-known and prolific names in strongmen competition. At 36 years old, the retired strongman is still regarded as of the GOATs. Brian Shaw Vs. Eddie Hall: Who Was Destined To Win?

Reddit had the following poll running with these options:

(I’ll rank them for you, and then tell you why!)

4-0, Brian Shaw (likely)
4-1, Brain Shaw (most likely)
4-2 or 4-3, Brian Shaw (likely) *This ended up being the final outcome*
4-0 or 4-1, Eddie Hall (very unlikely)
4-2 or 4-3, Eddie Hall (unlikely)

Here’s Why Brian Shaw WOn:

While Eddie Hall is known to power through insane lifts and present himself as an accomplished, albeit retired, strongman, he has not trained with Devon Larratt.

Brian Shaw is equally as strong, and has spent the past few months learning from arguably one of the best armwrestlers of all time (Devon Larratt). It was possible that Eddie Hall could’ve pulled off an upset, but Brian Shaw used his technical lifting acumen, and the matches swung heavily in Shaw’s favor.

The most likely outcome came to fruition with Brian Shaw winning four of the matches, with Eddie Hall sneaking in two matches. Brian Shaw won his bout with a result of 4-2 in a best of 7 format.

I had my money on Shaw completely decimating Eddie Hall—I was right.

Do you think this match went the way it was supposed to go, did Eddie put up a good fight?

Hopefully, they go head-to-head again! Everyone would love to see them at King of the Table 14.
